
In the fifth round of the CIV 2019, which took place this weekend at the Mugello circuit in Tuscan, the Airohriders were once again great protagonists on the track with nine podium finishes.
As usual, two races for each category to be played one on Saturday and one on Sunday, that in this round ran with very different weather conditions.
The Airohriders literally dominated the SSP300 winning both races with Thomas Brianti and Matteo Bertè who also collected two third places respectively, with the Saturday podium completed by the Australian Tom Edwars, second. About championship standing, when there are two Vallelunga races to go, Brianti is first followed by Rovelli and Bertè, with the three enclosed in only 9.5 points.
In the PreMoto3 one-two for Airoh in the Saturday race with Davide Cangelosi on the top of the podium followed by Filippo Farioli while, unfortunately, on Sunday race they both fell on the wet asphalt, even though Farioli then started again and finished eleventh, but the victory went , after a splendid comeback, to Italian champion Filippo Bianchi that re-opened the games with the 25 points won, taking only three lengths to the leader Lunetta. Biagio Miceli was also very good. In Race 2, with a dislocated shoulder and a wounded hand, he managed to finish fifth.
To conclude, in the SBK thanks to a fourth and a sixth place, Lorenzo Zanetti goes up into third position in the championship while there is to report the good performance of Alessio Finello in the SSP600 on Sunday which ended in top ten reaching ninth at the finish.
