AMA Motocross - Round 4 - Red Bud
450MX
In the 450 class Marvin Musquin finish 38th in moto1 due to a broken wheel but came back in moto2 finishing 7th good for 14th in the overall.
Musquin: “It was definitely a rough day. Unfortunately, I broke the wheel launching the single over LaRocco’s Leap (not going triple but double-single) and I landed hard on the single so I had to DNF, which is really bad. In the second moto, I knew it was going to be hard to get a good start but I did my best and tried to rail the berm on the outside and put myself in the top-10 on the first lap. I came back to seventh and I had a better feeling in the second moto but I’m looking forward to going back to Southwick and putting his one behind me.”
250MX
Rockstar/Husqvarna won again for the second race in a row. This time RJ Hampshire claimed the top spot on the podium in the 250 class with a 2nd in moto1 and a 2nd in moto2 for the overall win!
Stilez Robertson went 12th in moto1 and 8th in moto2 for 8th in the overall.
Last race win Jalek Swoll went 8th in moto1 and 14th in moto2 for 10th overall.
“It was a special weekend for the boys, I’m stoked for this whole team and all the guys that believe in me,” Hampshire said. “To have what happened at High Point and then sit on the bike every day for two weeks, I was more than ready to come out and just destroy the competition. So, I brought that same attitude into this weekend – even though I was sick and under the weather, we showed up and kept fighting.”
