Fim CEV Valencia, an unlucky weekend

2021 Cev02 Valencia Perez

The second round of the FIM CEV in Valencia, was an unlucky weekend for the Airohriders.

The best result was the third place achieved by Mika Perez in the Stock600 that however allows him to consolidate his third position in the championship.

In the two Moto3 races scheduled, both David Alonso and Filippo Farioli have collected as many falls.

Edoardo Boggio, in ETC, had technical problems in Race1 while he did not go further the twentieth position in Race2.

"Despite everything I’m happy for Race1 because although I was a little behind, I knew that I could take the lead group - said David Alonso -. The first group had gone but gradually I was able to decrease the gap but unfortunately, when I was near them, I made a mistake and I fell. Even in Race2, on the second lap, while I was trying to overtake another rider, he closed the trajectory and I fell again. I’m riding better, I’m learning and improving from race to race but unfortunately this Cheste was not a good weekend and due to two mistakes we leave without any points".

"In the first race I started well but in the second lap I had a technical problem and started to lose positions - these are the words of Edoardo Boggio about his performance in the ETC -. I finished the race to learn and to improve the information for the second race that was a little better. The start was not very good but I’ve quickly recovered positions. We could not fight with the leading group, but we continued to work without giving up. Next time will be even better".

This weekend took place also the third round of the Spanish Supermotard Championship in Mora d'Erbe where Beñat Fernández, normally in RFME Moto4, put his fifth victory of the season in the 85cc class and therefore shortened the distances from the leader of the general standing at only 4 points.
