EnduroGP 2021: Airoh immediately the great protagonist at the first round in Portugal

Extraordinary start of the World FIM EnduroGP Championship 2021 for AIROH, the absolute protagonist of the Grand Prix of Portugal that took place last weekend from 18th to 20th June, in the little town Marco De Canaveses, in the district of Porto.

AIROH collected indeed the another success in top class of EnduroGP and thus monopolised the first three places of the podium in the first race day on Saturday with the two English riders of Beta Team, Brad Freeman and Steve Holcombe and the Spanish Josep Garcia, who ended on third position. Fifth place for the Italian Andrea Verona, eighth place for the English Daniel Mccanney, ninth place for the New Zealander Hamish Macdonald and tenth place for the rider from Bergamo Thomas Oldrati.

On Sunday, AIROH conquered the second and third place of the podium, with Freeman and Holcombe respectively, in the Overall Classification of EnduroGP. Garcia ended on fourth position, MacDonald on seventh, Verona on eighth, McCanney on ninth, Samuele Bernardini on tenth and the Belgian Antoine Magain on eleventh.

About the results of AIROH riders in the various classes, in E1 Verona rules the race on Saturday while ends second on Sunday. Bernardini, after the sixth position on Saturday, surprises on Sunday when getting on the third place of the podium at the end of a race where he always scored excellent times in the total sum of 25 special races disputed in the two race days. Bruno Crivilin got two seventh positions; Magain obtained the eighth and fourth position. Till de Clercq got a tenth and ninth position.

In E2 class, Holcombe wins the first day and Garcia is third. Two fourth places for Macdonald, as Oldrati, after the excellent fifth position on Saturday, has to withdraw on Sunday because of a fall in the second Cross Test, where he had a tough contusion of the ribs and the successive medical check up when coming back to Italy on Monday. On Sunday, sixth position for Jack Edmondson and withdraw on Saturday and twelfth position for the English Alex Snow .

AIROH rules E3 class too with two clear victories of Freeman, two second places for Jaume Betriu and two third places for Daniel Mccanney. Enric Francisco finished the two days of the race in sixth and fourth position.

In Junior Overall parade, the Finn Roni Kytonen ends on third place on Saturday and on second place on Sunday.

Kytonen, in EJ1 class, obtained the second and first position. Good race for the rider from Bergamo Manolo Morettini, seventh in EJ1 on Saturday and ninth on Sunday.

AIROH riders of EnduroGP will repeat their performances straight away next weekend on Italy’s GP planned in Edolo (BS).
