David Alonso, young Airohrider from Colombia, won the ETC RepsolCev title with a double podium in the last round in Valencia.
At the end of the official tests David scored the third time but then was relegated to the fifteenth position by race direction. He was the protagonist of two incredible comebacks that allowed him to pass under the checkered flag first at the end of the Saturday race and second on Sunday.
However, the 25 points of race1 had already been enough for him to graduate Champion with a race ahead of Zonta Van den Goorbergh. An incredible championship that made of five wins and as many second places that, added to the unlucky zero of Aragon, have still resulted in 63 lengths from the Dutch rider.
One more title for Alonso, the second with an Airoh helmet, after the 2018 CEV Moto4 Championship.
In the Moto3, weekend to forget for Filippo Farioli due to Saturday race’s fall which unfortunately has repeated the fracture’s problems of the first race of the season in Estoril. Because of these problems, he could not take part in the next scheduled races. Meanwhile Filippo Palazzi finished far from the first race1 and race2, unfortunately he fell in the last Sunday race.
In Moto2, Marc Luna riding a Bultaco just missed the points zone.
