12 years in a few days from Turin man with perky face, Edoardo "Dodo" Boggio is the new 2019 MiniGp Italian Champion. Two second places in the last round of Franciacorta gave him the certainty of the title in a season that he literally dominated.
A weekend that could have given another title to the Bergamo company but Manuel Gonzalez, leader of the WSSP300 world rankings, did not exploit it coming second behind his rival, the Dutchman Deroue, that anyway remains 38 points behind when missing two races at the end of the season and 50 are the points at stake.
Worthy of mention is the good performance of the very young Airohrider Beatriz Neila seventh at the finish from a couple of seconds of the podium.
The race of Maria Herrera in the WSSP600 was unlucky instead; the rider from Oropesa , who took part in the GP of Portugal wearing the colors of the Kallio Racing Team, was at her first experience on the Argarve circuit and, despite the difficulty of the track, she was comfortably fighting for the points zone. A small mistake, however, cost her a harmless slide that knocked her out of the race.
